How It Started

It all started with a bad snowboard trip.. The WORST EVER.. ! Imagine being super excited about snowboarding for the first time, arriving to a packed crowd in Flagstaff, AZ at the famous 'Snowbowl' and rentals are limited! Now they don't have the gear you need, the right size, and don't have the time or energy to go back in town in hopes of finding a store with the right gear in stock! Surely someone else has what you need buried away collecting dust, in in some dark corner of their garage, under their bed, or forgotten under all the clothes in their closet... Despite that being true, nothing could be done.

Needless to say it became a bad experience! The wind was piercing cold, the snow was melting and making everything soggy, and returning home to comfort couldn't come any sooner...

Then the idea was born. It would've been great if there was an app where anyone anywhere could just search for the gear they needed and just rent it from a local. No line, no clerk, just you and the person with the stuff you needed! That was when BorroUp came to life, and why not create that space ourselves? Clearly we would use it, surely others would too!

With BorroUp that trip would've been so much better and now we have the chance to make this into one of the greatest sharing economy platforms in the world! Adventure has never been so accessible with rentals available all across the world wherever there is old equipment waiting to be used and rented out.
