How to create an account
Creating a BorroUp account is easy and free. You just have to download the BorroUp app and click Sign Up.
I want to change my BorroUp account details. How do I do this?
You can change account details by going to Profile > Account Setting on the BorroUp app.
I forgot my BorroUp account password. How do I retrieve and/or change it?
You can change it by clicking “Forgot your password” on the login page. You will receive an email to reset your password afterward.
I want to close my BorroUp account. How do I go about doing it?
You can send an email to customerservice@borroup.com with your name and email, and we will close the account for you.

Check the cancellation policy of your stay
You can cancel a reservation any time as long as the reservation is not in approved status. If the reservation is in approved status and you need to cancel, feel free to contact the item lister or contact us at customerservice@borroup.com.
How do I pay and get paid on BorroUp?
The borrower pays directly to the item owner using common payment methods like credit/debit cards. As a borrower, you will have to pay the owner before they hand over the item to you. As a lister, you will get paid out three days after the reservation end date with your preferred payout account.
Is my item protected?
Your item is protected at its Fair Market Value. Keep in mind that you can set a required security deposit on your listing to cover the additional value of the item.
Reporting an item that’s unsafe or unsatisfactory
Before you complete check-in, inspect the item thoroughly and take pre-reservation photos. If you’re meeting your lister in person, ask them to wait while you do so.
If you discover the item doesn’t meet legal requirements or is unsafe to use, don’t complete check-in. Contact your lister immediately. Safety reasons include, but aren't limited to, outdated or missing registration, a missing personal insurance card, a missing license plate, broken headlights, broken mirrors, or bald tires. Your lister may be able to provide you with another item or make other arrangements for you. If you’re unable to come to an arrangement, take clear photos of the item’s condition and email us.
Reporting a safety issue during a reservation
If a general safety concern arises mid-reservation, let your lister know. If you try contacting your lister but don’t get a response within 30 minutes, contact BorroUp. BorroUp prohibits borrowers in the US from making any alterations, additions, or improvements to listers' items without explicit approval from your lister or BorroUp.
